This page explains what personal information Sheer Care Services Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect, and why

When you book a collection

We ask for your name, email address, phone number, home address and postcode, along with the service you want, your collection and return windows, and any notes you add about your laundry. We need all of it to turn up at the right door at the right time and to send you a price.

Our lawful basis is performance of a contract. Without these details we cannot provide the service you have asked for.

When you send an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. The commercial quote form also asks for your business name, sector and postcode. We use these only to reply to you and to prepare a quote.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us about our services.

What we do not do

We do not sell your details. We do not add you to a marketing list because you booked a collection. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics profiling on this site.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of suppliers to run the service. Each acts on our instructions and cannot use your details for their own purposes.

Supplier	What they handle
Stripe	Card payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe — we never see or store them.
Brevo	Booking confirmations, payment links, receipts and replies to enquiries.
Our hosting provider	Stores the website and its database.
Google Maps	The map on our contact page is embedded from Google, which may set its own cookies when that page loads.

We will also share information where the law requires it — for example a valid request from HMRC, the police, or a court.

How long we keep it

• Booking and payment records — six years after the end of the relevant tax year, which is how long HMRC requires business records to be kept.
• Enquiries and quote requests — twelve months from your last contact with us, unless they turn into a booking.
• Notes about your laundry — kept alongside the booking they relate to.

Cookies

This site sets one essential cookie to keep your session working and to protect our forms against misuse. It does not identify you and cannot be switched off without breaking the booking form.

The Google Map on our contact page is loaded from Google and may set cookies of its own. If you would rather it did not, avoid that page or block third-party cookies in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the information we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it, where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it
• stop using it in a particular way, or restrict what we do with it
• send it to you, or another provider, in a portable format

Email info@sheercare.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
